Are you still working on the math, CometVoyager?

Niners fan,
Actually your answer is 100% and you would not have to do anything but throw all your trash out the way you do every day. Your garbage company will pick it up, but instead of bringing it to a landfill, it will be taken to a recycle center. Hope that lifts your spirits a little!
By the way, Niners should have never traded Joe Montana, he like Elway, Marino, Aikman, Farve, should have retired with his home team. That was so low!

Just from personal experience, what I used to bring to the dump and what I now bring is vastly different. For a household of four, I used to bring three to four large garbage bags a week. Now I bring one kitchen bag. Everything else is recycled or composted.
Sadly, I still see people throwing cardboard, plastic, and cans into the hoppers. About fifty yards away is the recyling area. That is just being lazy. Plain and simple. Along with the laziness is the I-don't-give-a-crap mentality.
That, people, is what drives this nation. For those who think America doesn't need a mental health check, you are already living in an institution.

Let's hope we see the day soon then where it makes financial sense for the disposal companies to recycle everything. It may be feasible now but if it actually made them more profitable then they would be doing it already.
I have mixed feelings on Montana. I was a big Steve Young fan and he wasn't getting any younger. I would like to have seen Rice finish out with the Niners and not just sign a contract to retire with them.

We recycle pretty much all we can because it is easy for us and convenient. We don't have trash pickup where we live (in a mountain, tourist town) but I am always a little surprised by all the recyclables I see thrown away because it is so easy to recycle.

The profit now is for the garbage companies and landfill owners, as they are raking in the $$$$$ at the expense of New Hampshire residents, as we eventually wind up paying for the clean up of all these landfills.

Point well taken, but it would have still worked out if Montana sticked around until retirement, as yes he would not have been the starter, as it was definitely Steve Young's time to shine, but Montana would have started many more times with SF especially since Young was so fearless of getting his head whacked into a concussion. Young was a great QB, and I am happy he did quit before he was permanently damaged. It was unbelievable the punishment he was able to endure. However, Eddie's sister came in and trashed the team.

As a former Californian, I'm opposed to it, thanks for asking.
There aren't many conservatives in CA, and they're getting fewer by the day.
Live Free or Die still means something to me. To others it's just a punchline for a bad joke.

Live Free or Die, aka Give me liberty or give me death by Patrick Henry.
I was listening to a couple of semi literate morning DJs many years back. They were discussing NH for some reason, or its motto at least.
They couldn't get it right (most of the illiterati do not own almanacs), so I called in and gave them the actual motto.
One responded,
"Gee, isn't that kinda aggressive?"
I have to say the powers that be are doing a damned fine job of dumbing down the population into a vapid stew of PC idiocy. When people look back on the history of the late great USA in 500 or 1000 years they will find it hard to believe such an accomplished society was forced to suicide by a bunch of thought-control freak PC ignoramuses.
The Keene city fathers and mothers fall into that category. God help us all.

Dwatted Wabbit, I could not agree more with you, as Dumbing Down America or more on the Local Scene, New Hampshire is how some people gain power and control over us. One Female in Particular who is running for President is counting on this.
I would hope New Hampshire people would wise up to this condescending type of behavior but after seeing the results of our primary I do not think we have wised up as the female candidate who prevailed hopes for dumbing down.
