I suggest you get the Delorme map of New England and draw a 25-mile radius from Fitchburg into New Hampshire. Use a realtor web site to explore the housing market. Greenville comes to mind for some reason.

Greenville is a lovely little town, just to the east of New Ipswich (which in turn is just to the east of Rindge) and also on the border and on the way to Fitchburg. I'm not sure there's a whole lot for sale though. The folks we bought our land from (and their lawyer - who turned out to be an old family friend) live in Greenville.
