A no-cost fundraiser for Londonderry Marching Lancers... (home, high school)

If you do your grocery shopping at Shaw's Supermarket or Star Market, I'd like to tell you about a no-cost fundraiser that is taking place, to benefit Londonderry High School's Marching Lancer band's upcoming trip to Beijing, China in Summer 2008. (Marching Lancers and Color Guard of Londonderry High School - Londonderry NH Friends of Music - FOM - Home of the Londonderry Marching Lancers)

Shaw's Supermarkets will donate 1% of all receipts that are turned in to them, which will be applied to the China Trip General Fund.

If there is a LANCER Fund Raiser Box at the store, please add your receipt to it. If there is no box, please let me know, and I'll get one dropped there ASAP. Or save them in an envelope, and give them to Customer Service, and one of us FOM (Friends of Music) volunteers will pick them up.

I've spent hours tonight totaling receipts, stapling bundles, and wondering how I could get more word out about this fundraiser. I know lots of regulars on this board are folks who will be living in New Hampshire at some point down the road. Don't worry, I'll be hitting you guys up later on

Well, if it's for a good cause then I don't mind too much, LOL!

It's great when people and organizations help out in the community...music and traveling is a wonderful experience for young minds.
