Hello NH!

My family will be relocating to your quite wintry city in the late spring from Dallas. Tops on our priority list is finding a new church family. We would love some recommendations for finding churches where the Word is taught and believed as written, where the Spirit's move is eagerly sought and encouraged and testified to by the manifestation of spiritual gifts, and where worship is both intimate and joyful. Hoping for some input and invitations from our brothers and sisters in Christ as we search for where the Lord is leading. Thanks in advance.

There's a church not far, just over the line in Derry. It's called Good News, and they also have an excellent bookstore next door, by the same name. It's pretty large and covers general topics, gifts, music, and has an entire room devoted to supplies for Sunday school teachers, and leaders. I used to frequent the store when we lived in the area, but never attended the services so can't say. It's such a personal thing that you'll have to "try" a few for the fit you're looking for - both in terms of what you can get from the services, and what you can bring to the church body.

Very true. I, too, will be looking when we arrive in the area. I did check out what is available in town and nearby, but you are right; it's a very personal decision to make. Good luck and I hope God guides you in the direction He wants, to your spiritual fulfillment.

We love our church, Calvary Bible Church, (Derry NH) very much! The Word is definitely preached, and our senior pastor, Pastor John Talley, is an excellent and dynamic speaker/leader. Visit the website, Calvary Bible Church and search around. You will find many ministries including youth minitries and ladies and men's minitries.
