There is one Costco in Nashua.
Went to look that up on a map, and sure enough.

Dangit, I was wrong by 600 feet!

Heh. I love that when you park in the southern parking lot at the Pheasant Lane Mall, you are parking in Massachusetts. Even the far southern corner of J. C. Penney's is in Massachusetts - wonder if you have to pay sales tax if you shop in that corner?

Looked at Ossipee, Wolfeboro, Center Harbor, and Sandwich (among other places). Quite nice.
In the winter I would probably head to Portsmouth instead of Concord if your looking for quicker. Rt 28 towards Concord will be a little slower on real snowy days. The jobsite I worked on over the winter was in Concord and I had no problem getting to work on time. A couple times snow storms in the afternoon made it a little slower on the way home. You will find everything you need within a short driving distance. The main road up thru Ossipee (RT.16) is very well taken care of. Anyone headed up to any of the ski areas or attractions on the east side of the state has to come up Rt.16. The state does a real good job with the snow ect. All the towns you listed would be nice places to live. It doesen't sound anywhere near as remote as where you live at the moment. There's no shortage of all kinds of outdoor activities and things to do close by. Good Luck with the job interview.

That is good to know. I have driven on NH16 several times (not in the winter), but it does seem to be a major road so they are normally cleared.

I haven't heard about the job yet, but hopefully that happens soon. If so, I will have to find some places to live that are not a long commute, but does have amenities my wife is looking for in a home.
