Seems you have a bit of an obsession with NH liquor sales, eb....
(Maybe you are really a Commonwealth of Massachusetts tax collector!)
Of course, both the state stores and the grocery stores sell liquor on Sundays........how else would we be able to sell so much to the out of staters?
And, in contrast to the title of the thread, if you walk into the state liquor stores away from the highway, you will be lucky to see another person in there the same time you are. I'm not buying the notion that NH residents are particularly bigger drinkers than anywhere else.
The state's entire population of true drunks fits into the size of the space of McGarvey's........because that's where they all are!

Well, OK, eb, if you just want us local-yokels to confirm to you that a road trip to NH for the purpose of a weekend "par-tay" would not be a bust, I can assure you that you won't waste your gas money.
During ski season, spend the weekend up around Loon/Lincoln. I believe the "Station" in Lincoln will fit the bill.
During summer, spend the weekend up at Winni. Either set up on land at the Naswa or if you have a boat, cruise out to the 50 boat tailgate party in Braun Bay.
There are no big cities here, so regular weekend nightlife is not as fullsome as Boston, Denver or even across the river from you. Nonetheless, there are a couple of spots in every town where there is music, dancing and people partaking in the medicinal properties of Jagermeister.

I stay away from all funky liquor and chick-shots, myself, so I couldn't tell you what's exactly in jager. But, I hear it is supposed to be "herbal", whatever that means.
But, for a nice barhop of locals' dives in Manchester, for example, you can "oil up" with all the locals at Strange Brew (beers from all over the world in stock), then, once you got the buzz going, join the conversation with all the toothless old timers at McGarveys. Then, head up Elm Street for all the drunks singing unintelligible karaoke upstairs at Uptown. Then, around midnight, if you really want to "go native", catch last call at Flo's on Valley Street. Stay quick on your feet in case shots are fired. Fortunately, though, Elliot Hospital is only a few blocks in one direction and the Valley Street jail a few blocks the other way.
Have fun.
