Oops!! I meant "write". Haha! Oh well. I was rushing to make the post before I had to leave for work. At least I noticed and pointed out the typo before anyone else did.

Yes and I don't care if you say Merry Christmas or not.....so just settle down about it. If somebody doesn't say Merry Christmas to you at the mall why is that a huge issue?

What does that have to do with the story?

I guess this whole thread is quite pointless actually Somebody wants to complain about something I guess is the bottom line when there isn't even a reason to complain so I will say that is my point. All of you stop your complaining about stuff! Ha ha!

I disagree. Information like this is very useful in house and town hunting.

I fail to see how current events that affect citizens would be useless` to anyone concerned about what is going on in their own state, but I'm funny like that , possibly as you are

BTW if any other religious groups want to put up a holiday display... celebrating kwanza or festivus, I would not be offended by them either. Shrug.

Personally, I do get a bit irked when someone says "god bless" to me, but when a person wishes me a merry christmas, then to me it's about presents, parties and a paid holiday. So that doesn't bother me at all.

I totally disagree. Im glad that CD brought this to light and posted it here. Folks who are thinking of moving to our state NEED to be reading things like this. This one story made it to the national stage, but how many others just get buried? NH is not known as an overly religious state, but it also known as a state with high values. And this is NOT a public school event. The poster was forwarded to the school department to inform students and their families about the tree lighting) but the event is sponsored by the American Legion.

Any religion is welcome to put on displays. My Jewish friends have the menorah at Chanukah. My Unitarian friends observe the traditions of many religions. Wwhat would you display for Beltane or Midsummer observations?
