Thanks Dare-yes we are almost there! The weather looks clear for the weekend too. I really cannot believe that I made it this far-it was hard not telling him but it will be worth it once he sees the surprise.

nicolem, your big day IS coming up!!! I can't wait to hear how DH likes it!! And how you enjoy Newburyport! And if you need any more ideas of other things to do while you're there, let me know. Even just walking around downtown, getting an ice cream and walking along the boardwalk near the river is nice

I think I posted to you a long while back a nice coastal route to follow the shore up to Maine, where you end up seeing another lighthouse at Nubble Point. The journey to get there is great too, so I hope you get to do it!

There are SO MANY posts that I want to respond to--I don't think I've been 5 or 6 days without posting before--I was getting withdrawal from not bring on city data LOL

Looking back over this thread before moving on to others, just wanted to agree that we need to see more pictures from Boo's California Garden!!! To be able to garden 12 months a year, imagine the possibilities! Here in New Hampshire we are starting on our rush of color-the forsythias are bursting into bloom, not much else yet though. I've spent the past couple of days running around in Massachusetts, and LOTS of color there, dogwoods are out, daffodils are in full bloom, hyacynth, etc. We seem to be about 3 weeks behind this year, but that's OK cuz now it's WARM (80 today maybe!!) Anyway, somebody asked about Lady Slippers, so here are a couple pictures I took in my yard. I was sooooo happy to discover them! Enjoy

I was the one that was looking for the lady slipper pictures and thanks so much, I so miss the unique things I found in NH and when I get there in October they will be long gone for the year - thanks again - I can almost smell them!

Hi everyone. No work for me this afternoon- I am packing and getting ready!

Thanks to everyone for all their support and helping me keep my secret It looks like tomorrow is going to be clear-which is good. I am really looking forward to this.

I will take pictures and make sure that I post them for everyone to see. I cannot believe my husband is going to be 40 tomorrow-wow! It is scary because I am not too far behind him.

Thanks again!

Nicole, I hope you and your hubby have a fanastic time!!!

I wish I was turning 40, lol. This past Feb I turned 46..sigh. Life goes by so darn fast. But hey, I still "feel" young, and I guess that is the key.

You guys have a great time, and yes we will all be waiting for the pictures. Be safe and be happy.
