Not sure what we'll be doing this year, but last year was memorable - it was the day we closed on our house and moved....in the middle of a blizzard

We are doing nothing special. I guess being married for 24 years, it isnt so special anymore. I cant even have some chocolate, as I am on a cleanse right now....sigh.

Happy Valentines Day to all. Have a great time in whatever you are doing. Someone have a chocolate for me.

Country, you are so sweet for starting this thread. Hope you have a great VD. I remember those silly little valentines from school too. I loved when my girls had to go out and get them for school. They were always so excited. I used to bake cupcakes for the VD parties the girls had at their schools, I'd make em all pink and put those little hearts with the sayings on them on top.

Hi Country - This morning it was -17 when we got up around 5 a.m. - now it's -15..it's warming up!!!! <g> We're expecting a bunch of snow, tonight into tomorrow - anywhere from 8-12 inches total. We had probably 6-10 over the period from Thursday through Sunday, so we've got some good snow cover! There are always tourists around - A lot of them stop in town or stay in town for the skiing nearby - not as many as in the summer and fall, though.

This winter we've had more snow than last year, but still haven't had any major difficulty getting around or anything...and we have a great guy who plows us out when it's needed, so we're happy campers

Talking Hello Suzet!! DO NOT BE SAD!!!!

THANKS FOR YOUR MESSAGE!!

And for your nice & kind words!

Now, Suzet in reference to you being married 24 years! WOW!!! That is

pretty COOL!!! You have been BLESSED!!! How many people do you

know of that have been married for 24 years??? You are one of the lucky

ones!! My parents have been married a little bit longer that that

And one thing that they always made sure of doing on a weekly basis, they

have a DATE NIGHT, or even a LUNCH DATE on a Saturday. It does not

have to be anything fancy, it could be at a diner, or small restaurant, just so

they could get out of the house, and enjoy each others company, without

the interruption of the Telephone, or anyone dropping by. I think that

its kEY to give each other some time alone/together

SO, PLEASE DO NOT SAY IT ISN'T SPECIAL ANYMORE, NO PLEASE!!

Give him a HINT, no better yet, TELL HIM that you would like for the 2 of you

to go out together (no children or friends) Even if you just have a salad, or

something that will not kill your cleanse, or at least he can eat, and you can

still enjoy each others company CHEER UP! IT CAN STILL BE

SPECIAL!!! Aren't you close enough to the Santa Monica Peer,

where you can find a ton of small places that you can grab a bite to eat, and

later walk around and just talk In any case, try to get out of the house,

and do something with him, you do not have to spend a lot of money, it does

not have to be expensive.

And do not worry, I will try to have some chocolate for you LOL! LOL!

In reference to the Valentines Day cards in school, I remember that we had

to make them, and my Mother also bought some, and she also made those

cute cupcakes!! I remember that, as being so much fun, also because

the cards would be placed in a pocket envelope on the back of your chair,

and there was always a sense of surprise!!

Anyway, take care, HAVE A FUN VALENTINES DAY!!

Come back & tell us what you did!!

ENJOY!! & SMILE!!
