Hi folks. I'm wondering if anyone here might have a recommendation for a veterinarian that commonly sees & treats rats, including surgery (yes, rats, and no, I'm not not kidding... ) Back in my vet tech days, the hospital I worked for treated exotics of all types (avian, rodents, reptiles, etc) and we took ferrets before they were legal in MA... but he's retired now and I don't want to waste time going to a vet who sees only a few rats a year... Southern NH preferred, but willing to travel a few hours in any direction. Thanks in advance

Hi Valerie!

Check out Londonderry Vet Clinic on Page Road in Londonderry. Dr. Gregorio is fantastic and if memory serves me correctly he took care of a pregnant Guinea Pig for a friends daughter. I figure if he is capable of that then a rat should be something he can do!

Thanks for the recommendations, all. I'll be checking them out this week.

Marcus, I completely forgot about Myrna, and I live right here in Londonderry! I'll give her a call to ask some questions Thank you.
