Yep, winter has returned. Ugh. Never know whether to like an early thaw or hate it for teasing us.

It's the wind that is nuts today. I've lost power twice so far. Luckily only for a few seconds each time, but enough to completely shut down and reset the WiFi.

It snowed enough to turn everything white and then stopped. Temps are supposed to be single digits or below zero for the next several nights with wind chills in the -20's thanks to this brutal wind.

Ahhh winter in New England... I looked at the indoor/outdoor thermometer around 11:30 pm yesterday, was 60 degrees (Londonderry). Knowing that the COLD was coming back, I decided it was time to take the dog for a nice leisurely walk. Good thing--I don't dare to walk tonight (trees, limbs and branches down all over the place...) As usual, my perennials & bulbs were FOOLED with the warm weather for the past 2 weeks, and started emerging, only to be frozen solid once again. Oh well, just about a month from now, we'll be starting to enjoy Mud Season in all it's glory...

It was still in the 50s this morning when I got up, a little bit of wind. Came out from a seminar around 3 pm and the wind was CRAZY and COLD. Definitely felt colder than the 45 that my car thermometer said! Now (9:30 pm) it's 31 CHILLY DEGREES and I am dreading going out with the dog BRrrrrr!!!

Last Saturday I wore a tank top leggings and flip flops outdoors without shame. Wednesday I brought a spring jacket with me to work. This Saturday I have my shearling slippers jeans and fleece indoors.

I like the variety. Wouldn't trade NE weather for anything. (Born and raised.)
