FINALLY!! Hoping to get some xcountry skiing in, and maybe even skijoring if the trails are in good enough condition

Snow day for us, although Thursday is my work-at-home day so it didn't benefit me, alas!

We got just a couple of inches of slush on Tuesday -- today is the big storm. Several inches of snow so far ... I'll be out snow-blowing in a little while, as if I wait until it reaches 10-12" I will have a hard time with my little machine.

I love the snow as long as it's the light and fluffy stuff (which today's seems to be) and we don't lose power!

That is my back yard, from a second-floor bathroom. It's beautiful ... I may go sit out on my screened porch for a while and watch the storm.

Thanks! I bought my house mostly for the neighborhood and the lot ... the back yard was THE biggest selling point. I'm actually not much of an outdoors person, but I love the view from all the back rooms of the house ... sometimes I just sit with my morning coffee and stare out there.

Hope everyone stayed safe and WARM today! Tonight is going to be insanely cold especially with the wind chills.

Not sure how much we ended up with finally, but it did seem like a ton when I was cleaning off my car last night. Of course, with all the wind, everything was piled into drifts too, which always adds to the fun.

I believe more snow is being forecast for tonight too. The ski areas must be pretty thrilled.

About 8" here in Dublin, according to my snowblower. Interesting how, yet again, the NWS really mis-forecast.

The Sunday > Monday storm might be pretty nasty, 50 to 60 MPH winds a possibility.
