Haunting at Blossom Street Nashua, NH
In 1990 I lived in an apartment on Blossom Street in Nashua, NH and we believe it is haunted. My daughter saw a little boy and a man, and there were different things that happened there that made us a little nervous. If anyone has ever known anyone who lived there who had experiences like this, I would like to hear from them. I have tried to search for deaths there, but cannot find any information.

Before we moved in I decided to wash the walls in the kitchen. I was on a ladder and the door opened and there were footsteps behind me going through the kitchen and into a bedroom. Thinking it was my roommate I asked a question and didn't get an answer. Five minutes later my roommate came through the door. We checked the whole apartment and nobody was there. We used to hear pots and pans clanging together early in the morning when we slept late. Of course there was nothing out of place when we got up. My daughter saw a little boy sitting on her bedroom floor playing, and she also saw a man in a blue worker uniform standing in the kitchen looking out of the window. She saw him twice. One day while washing some dishes she could feel something tugging at her shirt. One morning I was alone and brushing my hair when I felt something blow very hard into my right ear. Needless to say, there was nothing there and I threw my brush into the sink, grabbed my purse and left the apartment. We stayed there only a year. We got very nervous about the place.

Was that building really old?
We are planning to move to NH. Last thing I would want to happen is to move into a haunted house. Scary!!!
Does renovation make ghosts disappear?

The building was probably built in the 1920's. It was a nice place. I have heard that renovations can either stir spirits up, or make them go away...

Ooooo, I love ghost stories! I lived in a dorm type house while in college in Saranac Lake, NY. It use to be the Tuberculosis Hospital way back in the day and our kitchen/game room/tv area was the morgue. Yes, spooky!!! I had a spirit stay in my room with me. Kind of weird, but s/he wasn't going away any time soon so I shared my space. I have stories up the wazoo from that house! Spirits are fascinating and I love to hear about them.

It varies. In my aunt's case, all the renovations did finally let Daniel rest - at least last i heard he was no longer active. But then, my aunt died about 12 years ago and the house (in Northeast VT) was sold. So I have no idea if Daniel ever visited the new owners (or even if they knew about him! most of the town area knew). Daniel was never harmful, just some people got freaked. He never did anything except chop wood at night, go up the stairs, try to go to bed .. and sometimes he and his late wife held parties (true! someone came to visit my aunt one evening and kept banging on the door getting no answer. She could see what looked like candlelight and people in costumes. Asked my aunt the next day about it to discover that my aunt hadn't been home!). Family legend held that mostly Daniel was looking for his still that his wife had boarded up.
House was even written up in Yankee back in the 70s. Wish I could get a copy of the article.
