My username comes intially from my occupation (orchestra teacher). When I finished student teaching my mentors gave me a toolbox with Maestrolastname on it. So my first email name was that. Then I got married and changed it to maestralastname to match gender. When I was preggo I joined my first online forum and had to pick a username, that's how I came up with maestramommy.

My lil bro teased me about inflated ego naming myself maestra, but all it really means is teacher.

That is like the Seinfeld episode where the guy calls himself maestro and will not answer to anyone that does not call him that.

That is one of my favorite episodes Nicolem! I think Larry David's writing is so funny and brilliant. Do you know that he was George Steinbrenner's voice?

Yes I did. He was also the the "man in the cape" from the episode where George's dad's lawyer wore a cape and also the guy on the plane in the episode where Elaine has to fly coach and a guy gets her meal. His voice is the one who says something like " I think I ordered the Kosher meal".

I wasn't a regular Seinfeld watcher, but I would love to see that one

And I didn't call myself maestralastname in the classroom. I thought it was pretentious. My successor did though

Another boring one. . . my first name is nancie, spelled just that way. Part of my last name is the rest of my "name." I wish I had thought of a better one - I love "Dare to Dream" and "Buck Naked"!

Some guy with a funny hat and a wisp keeps aiming his shotgun down my rabbitwarren. He has visions of roast rabbit.
I hate that.

Nyaaaaa, fortunately, doc, I always manage to outsmart him by the end of the cartoon.
