You'll probably want to be in the Salem to Manchester area.
This company is the largest drywall contractor in the region:
Bedford Drywall
9 Madden Road
Derry, NH 03038
(603)437-9145
They handle projects all over Southern NH and Eastern MA.

There is also quite a bit of work in the Hanover/Lebanon area. It is also quite a bit quieter in this area versus Salem if you want country life. Construction is booming.

Just do a serious evaluation of the taxes in the town you look in and see how long ago it was valued for that tax amount. If it's been a long time they will bang you with a new evaluation shortly after you move in and it could almost double your rate.

Well i dont know about drywall, but i would reccomend The Manchester/Concord/Nashua Area because those are the biggest cities, and in southern nh.
Please for the sake of your life, dont move to BERLIN new hampshire.
I just spent the worst 2 years of my life there.

Lynn781 - thank you for your response by the way (in the Maine forum). I'm curious however, why were the two years in Berlin the worst of your life? I've never heard of Berlin and don't quite know where it's at, so it wasn't on my list of considerations, but I guess now I won't bother looking into it anyway. Thx, Pixieshmoo
Ps. Since you obviously know about NH and you obviously live or lived in ME, which would you suggest is the better place to relocate? BTW are you still in ME?

Berlin is a paper mill town
Pixieshmoo,
Berlin is a paper mill town in the central part of the state. It survives only because of the mill and because of that, is quite poor. And it stinks. If you have never smelled paper pulp, you don't know how bad it can be. Keep Berlin off your list.
And in reference to your NH vs ME inquiries on the Maine forum, ME is my personal choice and I grew up in NH.
Property taxes can break you.
