Default Realtor in NH (Hollis area specifically)

Hello everyone,
For the past few months (though largely taking a break for the fall/winter- so mostly just recently) my wife and I have worked with a realtor who was very responsive at getting us into homes we found/wanted to see but has been awful at providing information and doing any research on well- anything.

In contrast, two different couples we know (one in NJ, one in WI) worked with a realtor who gave them the pros/cons of different towns, showed them what areas of town would be the best, were able to dig up detailed information on the homes (building restrictions, etc), and understood the idea of differeing desires they had (for example, the one couple either wanted a big house on property OR would accept a smaller home on the water OR closer to work)- not just set of requirements for "must haves" that apply universally. We've gotten NONE of that help from our realtor and a lot of off-the-top-of-the-head "wrong" information- among other frustrations. Honestly- I don't see the earned value in paying 3% to someone who only opens doors, but we would like a realtor so we're moving on.

Does such a helpful realtor exist in NH-who specializes in the areas we're looking?

Since we commute to Bedford, MA- we're focused on Hollis in NH since the town/schools are supposedly great (we like Amherst too but most homes have a much further commute) but we would still entertain Amherst if it was an easier-to-get-to-the-turnpike home. We also like Merrimack/Nashua- but really want the nicest area/best schools possible.

-Frustrated

Hi Z-

I don't know any realtors specifcally in Hollis, but there certainly have to be good realtors in souther NH - just reading Valerie's posts show that she has fabulous info and happily shares. Great as she is, I'm sure there must be others as well. But like any profession, there's also some who.. aren't. Sorry to hear you got stuck with a bad'un.

In general, if you have questions about Hollis, LisaG currently lives there, and I grew up there with family still there. Would have responded to your Pennachuck area post - but I was never around there particularly and really have no info for you.

Yes, the schools in Hollis are great. That's why the taxes are high. While the town has a lot of amenities right there, you'd really want to do your grocery shopping in Nashua probably. Lull's farm stand on Broad St is a great place for produce.

I would suggest asking Valerie C on this Board, as she appears to be very helpful and is a nice person too!

ph9642 is on a distinguished road
Sorry to dig up an old thread, but I am looking for the same thing. I am looking primarily on the south side of Nashua and in Hollis if it's an easy reach to Rte 3.

Any Realtor recommendations with Masiello or Prundential Verani? These brokerages are where I am being directed by a corp relo program, and I need to choose.

TIA
