Whoo Hoo Libertarian Girl! Congrats on getting your house under agreement--that's the first (and very important!) step to getting yourself here to New Hampshire. I'd like to try and get to Summerfest this year and meet some of our Littleton regulars. Food? Crafts? Fun? I'm there!
Another festival in north country is the Sugar Hill Lupine Festival. This year it's June 5 through 21st. I WILL get there!!!

Anyone seen any lately?
Usually late at night behind stores and trash bins.

And Comet, if you woke up after a winter-long nap, you'd be scouting the trash bins too

Ummmm, a development? What I could see on line it was more towards Pleasant Street hopefully we won't be in the middle of that since we are 5 miles straight up the road, just across from the house with all the "junk" outside. Lots of changes, fun stuff.

Radio just said "Phase One will be starting in June" - Evidently "prefab" housing......from what the radio said.......

Val - Let me know if you'll be making it to Summerfest! We were going to go to the Lupine Festival last year - my in-laws were visiting at the time we were going to go and it was one of the most hot and humid days of the summer - They're in their 80's with some health problems, so they decided they didn't want to go......they wanted to go to Wal-Mart instead! Go figure

Littleton spring & summer
Just am over joyed with the wild flowers near Littleton & Bethlehem! Are there any 4H or Livestock fairs during summer or fall?

Sandbar - Some one else may know the answer to your question - I'm not a "fair-going" person, having lived next to one for many years There is a fair in Lancaster the end of summer/early fall, I think, and there may be smaller ones in some of the surrounding areas. Hopefully someone with more knowlege will be able to answer your question!

North Haverill Fair is end of July. There is lot of junk food and cute livestock. I think you can have fun for a half a day or so. They sell a bunch of fun stuff/rip off crap. The fair is very "organic" down home.

Upper Valley NH and VT Area
One of the things that I love about the Upper Valley - Lebanon, Hanover, Norwich, Sharon, etc. - is that you still have a small town feel but many cosmopolitan amenities as well. Natural beauty, town greens, town meetings, small stores and post offices are still here along with the big and the brassy. Lots of music, theater, recreational opportunities, medical facilities.

Agreed! Pretty sure all of us who have lived in other states appreciate NH every single day. Well, most of us anyway It would be awesome to create a photojournal type book of NH - including every town/city, off the beaten path parts as well as commercial, residential, town squares, etc.. "on the road in NH" or something like that. It is something I would love to put together but real life will not accomodate the tour schedule
Hey, Comet, you out there? Don't remember seeing you post in awhile but I probably missed it.
