(1) Is there any flattish biking up there, or is it mostly quite hilly? Road bike, not mountain bike.

(2) Best place to kayak if camping at Lake Francis State Park? Meaning a sheltered place out of the wind, with coves and islands to explore.

(3) If I go into Canada from Pittsburg via route 3, is the border control strict about reentering the US without a passport? (US citizen)

Nice vid..love riding in that area, taking 145 from Colebrook past Beaver falls is an awesome ride. only thing that disappoints is the two covered bridges, not as well picturesque as say Stark NH

I would not do it without a passport, passport card, enhanced license etc.
"What if I don’t have the required documents when I travel to or return to the United States?

Travelers without WHTI-compliant documents are likely to be delayed at the border as CBP officers work to verify identity and citizenship."

True ,But rt 145 is not in Pittsburg mostly Clarksville but does start or end at the Conn. River. about a mile from the Murphy Dam. Also for the OP .rt 3 is about 15 miles or so long and nearly all uphill from the south at around 1300 feet to about 2200 feet near the Canadian Border .if he goes in fall he should dress for Winter We ,go to more than -40 degrees a number of times, a year .we had 230 inches of snow last season.
