I have friend that is in his 70's wanting to move from Tennessee back to his home state. He's been away from N.H. for a least 45 years. Is Berlin or Milan a good place to live?

Thanks for the information.

Not really, to both towns. Berlin, even more so. Littleton would be a place to look in that general area.

It really depends what you are looking for. There is not much to do in those towns but it's close to much of the beautiful scenery and outdoor activities around. I agree with the PP that Littleton is the closest thing to happening in that neck of the woods. All the little towns up north are pretty sleepy and a bit depressed outside of tourist season. But if you want a house in the woods with peace and quiet at a low cost, you'll probably find it. I would suggest Gorham, Jackson, Bethlehem and Franconia as well. Perhaps Warren or Wentworth.

I would not move to Berlin. I think that is where they have a jail for men, not sure. But, I personally do not like living close to a jail. I do not like Milan at all

However, Littleton, NH is nice. A cute picturesque town. I really like their bookstore, candy store, diner, the INN, etc. The people are really nice & it feels like it is a safe place.

He wants to rent a mobile home and wondering what will it cost? I will give him the other towns listed on here. This man has no computer and doesn't want one so I'm looking this information up for him.

Thanks.
