Local politics in NH is pretty interesting, as described previously, and IMO is in a different universe than national politics.
Unfortunately, NH is just as deadlocked in the ugly identity politics of left vs. right, red vs. blue. I don't usually see that translating down to town politics, thankfully.
NH town politics is all about the parents wanting more money for the schools versus the childless and seniors trying to keep the property taxes from going up. And it's the Democrats in town that love to spend and spend.
