Floods. I really do hate water, haha. Floods scare me so much. Flooding is something that I never have to think about living where I do. But this is something that I have to worry about, and they have been talking about it on the news....

USGS (US Geological survey) website is the best source of historic and current flood information. PM me for help reading the displays. Hydrology was and is a fascination of mine.

all brooks, streams rivers etc will overflow from time to time. But NH is not flat - you don't get 'lakes of floodwaters'. Lots of folks want waterfront property and are at risk. But pick a spot 'uphill' and you are fine.

Still workingon the move in the very, very little spare time I can find. My husband is ill and we have 2 little ones to raise, not easy with one parent sick!

I guess you made it there? How do you like it?

No - haven't moved yet. We're doing another scouting trip in April for a few days. Basically my wife has had extreme difficulty finding employment, and although she doesn't need to work ,we'd rather not move and just sit around.

We're been eying a house/property in/near Plymouth. I'd also consider other areas nearby or further south, that would fit my requirements.

Our issues are we have a "life" here in western Colorado. Although we'd like to be closer to family, we're also not going to do something foolish that could effect our lives financially just to be closer to family.

I do miss many things about the north east. Mainly trees, water ( i.e. rain so things can grow), history, and Italian culture. I miss seeing my dad in FL - easy trip from Manchester/Boston to Ft. Lauderdale.

I'm finding as I get older, moves, especially cross country ones, are becoming more traumatic and stressful.
