Hi everybody! Can someone or all of you fill me in on what the Utility prices average in New Hampshire? Are the utility prices considered high there? Low?

We pay a minimum of $100 per month. Once upon a time it was $25. per month, but when Seabrook went on line, our bills quadrupled. The utilities commission decided that NH residents would pay for the cost of construction. I use roughly $50 in electricity and the rest is surcharges - the average bill is $120. per month.

1 bed 1 bath apt.

Gas
$380 a month seems to be average for us. Thermose is set at 61. We now pay $75 a week so it doesn't get away from us, so thats almost $400 a month. We though we had something wrong and had inspectors and the gas company called in but everything was fine and they said its normal.

Electric
$100 a month sometimes a bit more.Thats for 2 people.. They tack on a service charge or as they call it a delievery fee to run the electric through the wires so the higher your bill, the higher the charge.. My service charge last month on top of my electric bill was $50..

Don't pay water

Garbage pick up I think is like $50 for every 3 months or something.. Or you can take it to the dump yourself and pay per bag.

Cable- I pay around $55 a month..

2 Bedroom condo- three levels- 1st level garage, other 2 levels living area.

Gas-propane-Amerigas. About $100/month in the winter. Most expensive this winter was about $120. Last bill was around $80. I imagine it will be much lower next month.

Electric-PSNH-around $65/month. I am so glad to be away from Unitil-electric rates are cheaper here for my condo than for my old apt.

Water/Sewer-about $83 a quarter.

3 bedroom single family home in Londonderry, no AC.

Electric: typically around $80-$90 a month, 12 months a year. We try to be careful with lights, but with 2 kids in different areas of the house, playing on video games, computers, stereos, etc. Much of that monthly charge is considered "delivery".

Cable: Just under $60 a month. We have Comcast, no HBO, etc

Phone: Just about $110 a month. We have Verizon FIOS/unlimited long distance calls plus high-speed Internet

Oil (for heat and hot water): about $200 a month. We use a pre-buy system, and this price will be quite a bit higher next year!
