probably the worst you'll find is rush-hour on Rt 3/I93. It's ugly, by NH standards - but not by NY/NJ standards, then it's more just 'heavy'

To Boston?
So the traffic is only bad in NH when traveling into Boston? How long of a commute is Boston from Nashau anyway?
Thanks

Nashua to Boston during commuting hours can be atrocious...the closest thing you will get to NY traffic around here. It should take you about 45 minutes with no traffic, during commuting time, count on 1 to 1.5ish hours or so...........depends on weather, accidents, etc.............My recommendation is to either leave really really early in the am--like 5:30-6 am ish or really late like 9:30 am- any time in between that is pretty rough. Same with coming home from Boston in the afternoon......any time after 4:00-4:30 to 6:00 is pretty rough. Many people I know adjust their work hours accordingly to avoid rush hours..............

As a "frequent flyer" into Children's Hospital Boston, I quickly discovered that coming from Londonderry, my best bet was to make my appointment no earlier than 10:00 AM, and to be ON the highway heading for home no later than 3:30. If for some reason we were delayed at the hospital, it meant finding something to do for the next 3 hours, and leaving after 6:30 PM. That or spend 1-2 hours of stop and go (mostly stop) traffic to get back to New Hampshire. This is pertaining to Rte 93 only, I have no personal experience on Rte 3 coming from Nashua, but I've heard horror stories...

The NH to Boston commute is a nightmare unless you have off hours. During off hours, the drive from Manchester/Nashua is about an hour.
The worst is a Friday afternoon commute in the summer - it's reached as high as 4-5 hours.
