Our daughter will be taking a job in Manchester on an 8 month rotation with a major company. The company is on Willow St. We live in central MA and are planning to head up there tomorrow. We are planning to go to Washington Park and Prolyn. Can anyone comment on these complexes. She doesn't need anything fancy, just QUIET and safe. Areas outside Manchester can also be considered.
If anyone can recommend an apartment complex that fulfills these requirements, I would be most appreciative.

Best,

Another option would be to look into two family units in Manchester's North End.

Many streets there are lined with older victorian/other style homes that have been converted to two families.

The north end is the nicest area of Manchester, clean, safe, quiet, families, yet just a few blocks from downtown and maybe ten minutes to S. Willow Street.

As far as complexes, many are of the dormitory style - lots of young people, noise, etc. Unless, you're in the market for a higher end property. Of which there are a few. One new property, is located on the corner of Bridge/Elm Street - the units are luxury, garage parking, security desk, etc. Not sure of the rents, but assume $1000+

Doghn,
Thank you for your help. Can you give me an intersection so I can start there?

DD lives in Washington Park and has been there for 3 years. Its large, but fairly quiet and seems to be geared toward younger families starting out.

Sorry if I didn't respond in time, but here's the info.

If you're driving around, anything north of Webster Street is considered the North End - some streets include North Adams, Union.

Since this is the best area of town, any ad listing an apartment for rent will also say "North End"
