Joan, your Breakfast Pizza sounds great--I can't wait to try it. And if anybody else tries it, please post here how it came out

Ok since you brought this up Lisa . I am used to eatting Mrs Butterworth syrup . How different is the syrup there?? The real stuff. Does it taste a whole lot different? Is it sweeter than what we eat out here on the west coast? Oh and btw, are there IHOPs out there?? I havent looked to see.
Comet I am with you on the food, just not the Espresso. Sorry, I am not a coffee drinker or lattes or Espresso, etc...I have never liked that taste. I know, how boring am I?? LOL. I dont smoke, drink alcohol, or drink coffee type drinks. For me, living on the wold side is extra ice in my diet coke .

Same here! I love the smell of coffee, though, it just tastes nasty. But then, I don't drink tea either.

Suzet. You are in for an experience. Yes the syrup tastes different and oh so good.
IHOP-I think there is one in Portsmouth but not an overabundance of them in NH. You should visit Polly's Pancake Parlor in Sugar Hill for yummy pancakes and syrup!
Suzet- I have never smoked, drink maybe once or twice a year and don't drink coffee either. Guess I am boring. I love my tea and iced tea however. And my Pibb extra but I can only get that when I am in Florida

Yes, Nicole is right. You will love your real maple syrup experience! I recommend Parker's Maple Barn in Mason, which is way off the beaten path but worth the trip. You can buy real maple syrup at the supermarket there though it's probably around 5 or 6 x the price of mrs. butterworth's.

Are Pollys Pancake Parlor or Parker's Maple Barn near Chesterfield? We will be staying at the Chesterfield Inn. I actually cant wait to stop off and eat in some of the diners there .

Polly's is way up north so you will have to check that out when you move here
Parker's is closer than Polly's but I still think a drive-although it may be more doable if you are going east of Chesterfield and can tie it in with something in the area.

OK, comparing Mrs. Butterworths to real maple syrup is sort of like comparing Nestle's quick powder to Lindt (Lindor) Truffles, or maybe like comparing ground chuck to prime rib. It's sweeter, but in a different way. It doesn't taste "fake" (sorry, I'm not giving you much here, but it really is hard to describe a taste.)
Also, you will find different grades of syrup, depending on many different factors, like the seasonal variations of temperature, the time in the sugaring season, etc. Every year is different... I would imagine JThibodeau could give us all an education here!
My DH's relatives in Canada have a sugar shack, and they use maple syrup on EVERYTHING from marinades to pies. They pour it over cake, and over venison. It's on the table at nearly every meal, and they always send us home with as many cans as we can carry. So yes, it's a must do when you come to visit New Hampshire!!!

Parker's Maple Barn is in Mason: down on the Mass line, about 3 towns west from Nashua (and next door to New Ipswich!). https://www.parkersmaplebarn.com/index.php
Suzette, you can even pour maple syrup over fresh snow in the winter! It's a shame my DH hates pancakes and waffles <sigh>
