Default NH Weather

Hello,

I have a question regarding weather... Is it actually cloudy there almost 1/2 of every month?

I can handle the cold, but I like the sun to shine. Where I live now, we get almost 300 days of sun. Clouds make me depressed. We were all set to move until I really researched the weather.

Can anyone tell me, is it going to be a HUGE change?

Depending on what you are used to, NH summers are great. Most of the summer is sunny and hot, but cools off at night. Once we hit June we should see mostly sun I hope!

We enjoy 4 seasons here. If you can't handle that, you are right in not moving here. I doubt we have 300 days of sun, but I know we are not 50% cloudy, unless you find those nice puffy white clouds on bright blue skies a problem too? The biggest complaint I heard from friends that came to visit from Alabama during a BEAUTIFUL New England weather streak was that it was too dry for them. They were going through tubes of chapstick, no joke. Then again, to me ... Alabama is like living in a steam bath.

Here's a link for weather, it's on a "visit NH" site... ... http://www.visitnh.gov/weather.html

We are definitely not as cloudy as Seattle....

jbob, I suggest accessing a weather source local to the area that you are looking. I am moving further north and found that my aol weather page was frequently inaccurate. Once I began to use the local newpaper's web site I was able to get a better picture of the weather. Passing clouds donnot mean that you won't get sun. The Northeast tends to get a lot of passing beautiful clouds but not a complete over cast. With my current weather source, if there was to be a cloud in the sky they would call it a cloudy day.
