Question homes

What is the New Hampshire real estate market like for lease purchases, lease options and rent2own homes, given the mortgage crisis? I am contemplating moving there to the Nashua area or around Manchester. What kind of place can you get for around $1500 a month? Any advice will be appreciated!

$1500 will get you a nice apartment.

Not likely you will find much for homes in that price range. The landlord needs to pay the taxes which can run high.

Maybe others have had some luck, but you may have to stick with renting. Lease to own are not common.

I am scheduled to start working at Exeter hospital late March/ early April. i currently live in Vancouver Wa. have not sold my house yet and my payment is high-I have a 15 yr mortgage- so that limits me finacially in terms leftover monies for rent/ in the interim of selling my house and buying in NH. I have been scouring craigslist- We really want to be in Exeter-closer in town the better- also my husband has yet to find a job.He is in computers which I realize is vague- IT,IS project management, web design, etc. He has applied to many but aside from standard form letters of rejection- no reply. He feels as though the address on his resume -currently in Vancouver Wa. is why-despite his cover letter stating his impending move. My question to you all- is ADVICE- I need hopefully temporay housing for 6 months-family of 6, 2 cats 1 dog for no more than 2000 a month. We are very flexible in terms of trade of service perhaps- my husband could trade computer service for example- Any words of advice honestly-Thanks

Liberty Mutual in Dover/Portsmouth worth checking for tech jobs. Also search dice/monster for "insurance" in NH. 9/10 that'll be a Liberty contract posting. There is ALWAYS tech work in the Boston metro area, and you can commute by train from Exeter.
