Default Moving to New Hampshire

My husband's job is relocating to Keene, NH. Can anyone recommend a town with good schools? Which towns should we consider and which should we stay away from? We are relocating from CT, a very high cost of living area with high taxes. We have school age children who are part of a competitive swimming team - any teams in the area? Which towns have activities for children and actually feel like a town, not a bedroom community?

In that area of the state Not many. Liberals like that area of the state. But all in all, Most View Cheshire and Sullivan Counties as Tax berdins on the rest of us. There are some very nice towns in the area Peterborough and the likes The ppl there are nice and from what I hear the schools are good as well. But aside from the few good towns in the area I would avoid it. Very welfary, Give me, Type ppl In that area of the state. There are some Great ppl over there, But the Vast Majority are not.

I love Antrim! -about 25 min. east of Keene. It's an awesome town with a special town spirit and great town programs. It's near Peterborough and in the same school system. There is a nearby swim team, "The Wave" which practices at the pool at Crotched Mountain. Some friends we know love it, and are very involved!

Antrim is a very ecclectic town, with people from all economic strata and professions, which makes it quite interesting. If you want a town with a more "upscale" feel to it, try Hancock or Dublin. They are also very nice towns, and in the same school system.
