Moving to Lebanon, NH. Need help.
My wife and I are leaving Newmarket for Lebanon (My wife just accepted a job in the area and I work from home). We currently rent a nice condo in a renovated mill. We enjoy living here. Our neighbors are very respectful.
We drove up to Lebanon to look for a place to rent on Saturday. We checked out Craig's List and had little luck. Searching for apartments online hasn't been too successful. We really liked Emerson but they won't have anything available until mid to late August. They are also a little pricey. Of the other places we checked out (Stone Farm, Ivy Place, Meadowbrook, Boulder, Wolf Run), either don't allow dogs (we have a golden), have no vacancy or aren't very attractive (think section 8).
We are a young (late twenties), professional couple who doesn't drink or smoke. We have no debt, good credit and are extremely quiet.
Does anyone have any tips for finding rentals in the area. I have copies of the Valley News and the Connecticut Valley Spectator. Are there any other area newspapers in the area I should look for?

You could check with real estate agencies in the area - sometimes they have rentals.....at least the ones in Littleton do.
Happy hunting and good luck!

You're welcome - when we relocated to Littleton the only way we could find a place to rent was through a realtor - we have a 75-pound dog The rental wasn't the greatest, an old farmhouse with little to no insulation, but we knew we'd only be there for a year while we were making the decision whether or not to stay in the area and buy a house, so we made do.

Don't forget the other side of the river.
I have friends who work in Leb and live in Vermont.

We ended up securing a 1st floor unit at Stone Farm. Very nice unit with a patio. It's a little more than what we'd like to pay and we'll have to move once our pup grows up (she's only 12 day old; we don't even have her yet), but we'll make do. We plan on buying a home or condo once we get our feet on the ground. It really is beautiful up there. I think we'll be glad to call Lebanon our home.
