There are some really nice areas in Epsom. I lived in Epsom for 4 years and Deerfield 11 years. That whole area is real nice. There's pretty much anything you need within a short distance.

My folks live in Berwick, ME and work in Northwood, NH. Can y'all help me find a place to buy? I like the prices and the pace in Epsom but not familiar with the school or the town too much. I want a good re-sale value in the home. I'm hopeful to find one I can flip for a profit after we're done living in it. Nottingham seems a nice option too. Chester/Derry/Londonderry etc are too tax rich for me and not as "country" setting as I'd like. I don't plan to raise any farm animals. I just want a quiet rural setting to raise my son where I don't worry so much about him playing in the yard/neighborhood. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Lower proprty taxes, 4K or less? That's a lower property tax? If I had to pay 4K in property tax I'd move so fast, there would be a "sonic boom" when I went through the state line.

The difference in NH is that the property tax rates are different in all the towns. Some towns in the Lakes Region have very low taxes. Also, NH does not have a state income tax or sales tax. The state has one of the LOWEST tax burdens in the country.
