Default Littleton in the Boston Globe

Town and country - The Boston Globe

I'm guessing this should probably be pretty good for tourism...

That was my first thought, too I get a newsletter from the real estate company who sold us our house and it was a featured link in the newsletter. We used to pass by a house when we rented that is owned by someone in Mass. (going by their license plates) - they were there maybe twice a year, which seemed odd, but whatever floats your boat, I guess. We see a lot of Mass. plates up here...I think we have quite a few residents who own second homes in the area.....we'll probably get more now

The head of our economic development group (I think that's what it's called anyway), says we are the hub for those coming from Canada and going to Maine...evidently we're the halfway point or something, according to him.

Main Street is supposed to start undergoing construction at some point, it should be interesting to see what that does and how disruptive it will be to the tourists who come through. For some reason, I think it's all supposed to start in the fall, which should be fun for the leaf-peepers

dzmjp - I'm sorry, the only town I know much about is Littleton - we've only been here a little over 2 years. There are a bunch of towns around us that we've been to - Lisbon, Bethlehem (which has the Colonial Theater where Johnny A played last night and was awesom!), Whitefield (which has the Weathervane Theater for plays during the summer and possibly fall, not sure), Lancaster, and Franconia which will have a big music festival August 1st and 2nd - The Jerry Jam.

Sorry I can't be of much more help

Hi Lisa - It really is a nice town, although it has grown since we moved here. I think the last I saw, there are now 6000 people in the town. It still manages to preserve a small town feel to it.

Hi Dare,
Things are finally settling down out her in the West (fires) and I am trying to get caught up with all the conversations going on. Thanks for posting the article, I am ready to move!
