I got my best deal by going to Home Depot. I paid home depot for the heater and the installation which was done by a local contractor. It was a propane hot water heater. The cost was half what the independent local guy quoted.

I went for the largest one available, a GE 50 gallon. My three daughters use a lot of hot water in showers and laundry....

Teach your daughters to take navy showers. Use less water and less fuel. Be cheap.
