Default Are there any financial jobs in NH?

I am looking to move up to NH from the NYC area. Obviously I wouldn't expect NH to match NY for Wall St. type jobs, but I am wondering if I will be able to find work around the Portsmouth/Exeter area of NH (within 50 miles)or will I have to commute to Boston?

Specifically I am talking about front office jobs at hedge funds, or any kind of institutional investing/trading related jobs, including firms that make software/services for financial firms.

I know that there is a firm called MarketICE in Manchester, but is it the only one of its kind in the area? Are there any hedge funds in NH at all?

Thanks

I don't know if this is going to help. This seems like a site for unemployment for NH residents. I am not unemployed nor a NH resident. I am trying to find out if there is much of a job market for financial professionals in NH.

Thanks

Perhaps I am inferring the wrong thing, but it seems you are suggesting that the financial field is one that is in a bad state and is losing many jobs. If so I'm happy to report that the rumors about the financial industry have been greatly exaggerated. The current banking situation has zero effect on those who work in equities, FX, trading or quantitative research, or practically any job on the buy-side of the Street.

Is there anyone around who has some real info on trends in NH for financials, positive or negative? How many folks who work in financials commute to Boston, vs. have found jobs in-state?

I appreciate any relevant information folks can offer.
