Default Danville, NH: Good Place to Relocate To?

Hi Everyone. We are strongly considering a move from Massachusetts to New Hampshire. We have made many trips into various areas of New Hampshire, visiting friends who live there (native New Hampshire folks, in fact!) and just visiting, in general, this beautiful state. We need to live as close to the MA border as possible, unfortunately, because both of us have teaching jobs in MA and until those possibilities open up for one or both of us in NH, we will have to commute. We were thinking of Danville, but not sure about the quality of life there (safety, environmental, etc.). Does anybody have any information they would be willing to share? Or, alternatively, suggestions for other good towns in NH? Once we move, it will be for good, so it will be an important move for us.

Thanks very much for any help you can offer.
