Puts on the Totally Flabbergasted Face. One asks oneself: WHY?
(OTOH, where does the word "flabbergasted" come from? What's a flabber? What does it do when it's being "gasted?")
Goes off to investigate...
O.K., now I'm really grossed out. "Flabber" = flabby, and "ghasted" = aghast
So the idea is, I'm flapping my flabby arms around to show how aghast I am. Like a plucked chicken with it's head cut off. So much for trying to be .

I noticed that Concord and Peterborough are more Democratic town(s) ...is that about the same for most of those towns along 89? Just a question .

dzmjp,
Concord and the Lebanon area seem to favor the Democratic party. I'm not personally familiar with the towns' politics, but judging by their voting records, I think most of the towns along I-89 might lean slightly towards the Democrats. The exception being the New London - Sunapee - Croydon - Springfield area, which seems to have more Republican tendencies.

Republican/ democrat, other traits that concern me more about my neighbors
I'd much rather be more concerned about if my neighbors instruct their houseguests to park somewhere other than my driveway. Politics will always be what it will.
N.H. has been traditionally a republican state since 'forever' when our most reprehensible govenor Meldrim Thompson was in office ~'70's Whom earned his reputation in the national spotlight for refusing to lower state flags for MLK day. Also , "back in the day" it was political suicide to refuse to take the "No New Taxes Pledge" which is why we have the astronomical property taxes we enjoy today. Somebody's got to pay!
Also back the the Union Leader, the state's only state-wide paper, or fish-wrap was much more a right wing forum for republucan drivel. The 'late' former editors husband / wife team have gone where all good republicans go.

You are right, thank you for that honest post. First off, that is not very kind of your neighbor to let their guests park in your driveway - that is just inconsiderate and disrespectful towards you.. Sorry to hear about that.
But you bring up a very good point - behavior ir behavior and it is not always decided on their polical party. Sometimes though I can sway where you want to move, because you do want to live by those who share the same views as you do, and sometimes that can be a political thing...sometimes I say .
Example, the freedom to bear arms... it is our right and I plan on doing so! . We love to hunt, quad, fish, camp, etc and it would be nice if our neighbors would come over for some fresh venison stew and admire the rack of the buck we just got... instead of calling us animal killers . So, it is not so much a political thing...as looking for a town that thinks along the same line as we do...so that it is easier to meet people and do things, than to stand out in a new state.
I def. hope I did not upset anyone with what I've written, last of what my purpose was The last post got me thinking about what I was really looking for and I just wanted to post my thoughts for some input??
Thank you all again! This is a great thread with some great people!
