This may seem like a random, crazy question, but maybe one of you will be able to help...
I would really like to find a pretty cross-stitch that I could do that depicts some kind of scene from Nashua, NH. My gram lived in Nashua for 80 years and now that she's living out of state, I thought a pretty needlepoint scene to hang on the wall and remind her of home would be a nice gift.
The problem is that I live in North Carolina, which makes it extremely difficult to find something like that. (I've had no luck searching the internet.)
Does anybody know...
1. if anything like that even exists?
2. if it does, where I could find it? If anybody even just has the name of a store where they would carry that kind of a cross-stitch pattern, I'm sure I could track down the rest of the info...
Hi My Sunshine (great name!)
I don't know of something like that, but I do know that PatternMaker is a program that you can transfer a picture into a pattern. Here's the website: HobbyWare - Pattern Maker for cross stitch
I have the program from way back (before I became an internet addict!) that I used for various projects. It did an OK job--I'm sure that after all these years you can set it for the amount of detail you would be comfortable working with. Good luck, what a nice idea for you to do for your Gram
there is a free program too: KG-Chart for Cross Stitch: Overview - iktsoft.net
