I never got the chance to take a picture of the bridge that isn't there but check this out. This is a ture story too. Not from a local but from a professional ammo reloader who has been at it for 35 years.
I was at his shop today picking up some ammo and talking with him about certain types of military stuff.
He mentioned that he used to load about 10K of .308 and 40K of .223 every year for certain security companies and police depts.
He said "a couple of weeks ago he needed to order some more brass for both those rounds for a large order, but he was told from his supplier out in ND. that all the brass had been bought out by the U.S. Government.
When he asked if he could back order it and just wait until they had more, the supplier said that the Government had bought all they had and had pre-bought all they will make for the next couple of years.
Thats .308. So if your shooting one, better check into ammo. .308 is also 30-06 and a bunch more. It is the prefered round for snipers. .223 is of course the m-16 round and many others too.
Don't believe me check it out at your local gun shop. And if they do have them, I'll bet the price is thru the roof.
I will keep everyone posted on the bridge steel. It may be that they needed it for tank parts and not the whole tank.
