I always liked Macouns best, until I took Val's suggestion and tried the Honey Crisp. Wow.

we picked at poverty lane today -- no honey crisps (the lady said she's had more requets for honey crisps this fall than ever before!) but we got cortlands and some heirlooms (golden somethingorother -- they sort of reminded me of asian pears).
