Ok, so I'm assuming it's just the stereotypical Samuel Adams right?

Smile Best New England Beer

YES, it's Sam Adams, without a doubt. I went on a tour this past Spring of their brewery, I have to say, it was quite impressive and their fees go toward local charities which is what I really liked about it. Here's some information on it that any one would need if they wanted to take this tour:

Tours of the Sam Adams Brewery are offered Wednesdays and Thursdays at 2P.M., Fridays at 2 and 5:30 P.M. and Saturdays from 11 A.M. until 2 P.M. roughly every half-hour. A $2 donation is requested, and all monies collected are donated to local charities. The tour is open to all ages, but you must be 21 with proper ID to sample beer. For more tour information, call this # (617) 368-5080.

Getting there... For recorded directions call (617) 368-5080, or consult the Sam Adams Web site. Leave yourself plenty of time--driving in Boston can be tricky, even now that the Big Dig is essentially completed! You may want to get to the Brewery by Subway, it's easy! Just take the "orange line" toward Forest Hills and get off at the Stony Brook stop. From there, you'll need to walk to the Brewery by taking a left onto Boylston St., your first right onto Armory St., then your first left onto Porter St., which will take you to the Brewery's gates.

There's another beer in New England that's quite popular too! It's the "Red Hook" Brew and I have to say, it's quite good. Check their site out to read about it, although it's originally from the state of Washington, the Brewery in Portsmouth, NH is quite the place to go for it! Go to Red Hook dot com you'll read all about this beer and also their famous pub at the Pease International Tradeport in Newington, NH., which is actually the next town over from Portsmouth, it's not too far from the Fox Run Mall in Newington. You can see this Brewery from I-95 on the way up to the Spaulding Turnpike.

I am not a Sam Adams fan. My picks are Harpoon (Boston and Windsor, VT - love their UFO in the summer), Gritty McDuffs (Portland and Freeport, ME - love their Best Brown Ale), and pretty much anything from the Willimantic Brewing Company in Willimantic, CT (they don't distribute, you can only buy in-house). Long Trail (VT) also has a couple of good beers, as does Magic Hat (Burlington).

I don't drink, so I really have no idea how this stuff tastes. When we were in Concord one time having lunch, they had some varieties from the Nutfield Brewing Co <http://www.nutfield.com/index.html> which is based in Derry. Personally, I liked the names and the tap designs, and I love their logo enough to have bought their T-shirt. Now there's a way to choose a good beer! apparently they have a pub/cafe at the airport, I'll have to look for it (must have been on the other side).

They make Old Man Ale, Auburn Ale, Winter Frost, Harvest... and bunches more.

Anyone ever try the stuff? How is it actually? I do love their artwork, though.
