Default Fastest Route into Portsmouth from Hudson?

Hello, I'm am currently in the Hudson area and am looking to get into Portsmouth (just south of the traffic circle) durring commute hours next week. I don't have an EZ Pass or anything of that sort since I rarely visit the area.

Would the fastest way there be to take I-93 to 111 in or would it be faster to take I-93 to I-95 and hit the toll? Thanks.

if you're in Hudson, can't you take 111 all the way without hitting 93? six of one - half dozen of the other - but IMO the highways are faster.

Acuity I think your best and quickest options would be either 111 to 93 (exit 3). You could head either north or south on 93, but IMO you'd be better off going NORTH to 101 East (avoiding the thousands of other commuters heading south) and jumping onto 95 NORTH for .50 toll (it's a buck if you come south from 495/95. Try mapquesting it to see which is best for you. Actually, depending on where you are in Hudson, you might be better off getting to 102, through Londonderry, and hopping on to 93 via Exit 4. That would put you 7 miles closer to 101 than 111 at Exit 3. That's a long stretch of highway between exit 3 and 4...

I would use Rt 102 (you are already on the East side of the Merrimac River) to I-93 N in Londonderry to Rt 101 East north of Manchester then directly to Portsmouth. Not the scenic route but fairly quick. This avoids the traffic on I-93 south and I-495 East/I-95 north.
