Lightbulb good place for a B&B?

Hi everyone,
this such a great forum! I am looking to run a B&B in New England and am seriously considering NH, along with VT and Maine. I'd like a friendly town with some culture and activities. One that is not too far from shopping or medical care.
Appreciate any input, thanks.

I think you need to consider a location that has good tourism draw. Towns in the Lakes Region like Meredith, Center Harbor and Wolfeboro are great B&B spots. Also towns up in the White Mountains like Conway, Lincoln, Jefferson are close to attractions and ski resorts. Personally, I think the Lakes Region is one of the busiest tourism regions where you could draw on year round vacation traffic and still enjoy the culture and quaint feel of a small New England town. Do you have any other criteria that could help narrow the list of locations to look?

A really nice inn is for sale in Eaton, which is outside North Conway and has a beautiful little lake and a picture-postcard small town with a wonderful general store.

Nice to hear from you nhfinehomes and nh2008! The inn in Eaton looks fantastic but is quite a bit more than I hope to spend. I've seen one for sale in Moultonboro that looks interesting. That is near the towns you mentioned Link. Any thoughts?
I'm thinking a 5-7 room inn but am still in the investigating phase as to whether an inn that size can support itself. So many variables!
Thanks for the input!
