Default Excellent Site for Restaurant Recommendations

Hey all,

Just wanted to share with with you -- Chowhound is a really great set of boards for finding restaurants all over the country. The link above will take you to the New England board.

I use the site all the time, especially when I travel, to find good food (not necessarily expensive food) -- places where locals eat.

No affiliation to the site - just a satisfied customer and I thought people might find it useful to find unknown NH and New England restaurant gems.

Jackie

My favorite in Keene is Nicola's, though it's pricey. Some folks prefer Luca's--both excellent Italian. Less pricey, but good Italian is Papagallo's. For great breakfasts--Timoleon's.

Nicolas - very good Italian, grt service, expansive menu - good braised shank

Luca's - good northern italian; Luca Paris walks around talking to diners, if you want to play around with the menu, recommend to him

Thai Garden - compared with Thai food in any of the metros I have been in (Chi, NYC, Bos, DFW SLC etc) this place rocks

Marco Polo - run of the mill Chinese place; that being said Their Singapore noodle is to die for

Cherry Garden (behind the Colony Mill) - sit-down Chinese, good scallion pancakes, & Sushi

Papagallos - Grt homestyle Italian; try their Putanesca

More around Keene, e back if you would like to know more

V
