If you're looking for traditional Thanksgiving, yup, Harts would be the place. We went to Harts in Manchester the first weekend they were open (family and friends were invited for complimentary meals/cocktails when they were training cooks, wait and barstaff!) and while the food was pretty good, it just didn't have the same feeling of being in Meredith...
You could also try CR Sparks in Bedford, or maybe even the Bedford Village Inn. Neither is cheap, but it'll be a meal that you'll long remember... Looking forward to hearing back from you on what you chose, and how it was!! Give those of us who are slaving over a stove on Turkey Day something to dream about

Hart's in Meredith is what your looking for. It been some time since I've enjoyed their food but well worth the trip. I would imagine that an early reservation would be suggested.
And, here is the link:

they don't take reservations on Thanksgiving Day - but they won't stop serving until everyone is fed.
as I stated before, they set up a tent in the parking lot with a bar, a TV for football and some good comraderie! Good Times!

THAT is pretty cool and I would love to do something like that. I've NEVER eaten out for Thanksgiving Dinner. Mom is a huge traditionalist, and insists on the 20# turkey, 13 veggies and about a hundred desserts... (sigh) then I married into a family that has the same beliefs. Going out for Thanksgiving Dinner sounds WONDERFUL!!!

old skier saying "the family that skis together stays together..."
and Thanksgiving day is a great day to ski, for nobody is on the slopes...
superbowl sunday is another good day.

I would LOVE to be part of a family that would even consider skiing on a major holiday! My DH and kids would, and probably my brother and SIL, but no way would we get my folks, in-laws, certain of my sibs-in-law...
We ate in a restaurant only once for Thanksgiving - the year both my grandparents had colon cancer the 6 months prior and my mom had just had it and needed a break so we went out.
