Anyone from Great North Woods area? (Littleton, Lancaster: school, living, law)

I am looking for alot of info on the Great North Woods (like how is it living there, best places to go ,things to do). If anyone is from there please give me some. My fiance and I love the Great North Woods ( we go to Pittsburg atleast twice a year.) and we are looking at relocating some where up in the area. I am in school now I want to work in Law Enforcement (most likey a cop) I was just curious if there are any towns in the North Woods that have a police department where I can get on full time. I would love to move to Pittsburg,Lancaster, or Colebrook. Any info that you could give me would be great. Thanks
