Default Windham neighborhoods

Hello all again,
It looks like we have decided on Windham and I was wondering if you, wonderful folks, can give me some info on town's neighborhoods. For example, my RE is saying that Grandview st is much better neighborhood then Fordway ext, but they looked kind of the same to me.
Anything you can tell me would be greatly appreciated.

Blessedme, both Grandview and Fordway Ext. are less than 5 mins. from my house. They are similar, but Grandview is a neighborhood, while Fordway Ext. is an artery that runs from Derry down into Windham. Also, parts of Fordway could be impacted by the Rte 93 widening project.

If at all possible, I would recommend getting into your car and driving through both areas, all the better if you have a GPS. Get a list of all the houses for sale in your price range, and just drive through all the neighborhoods. It can be a very enlightening experience to just drive around and get your own feelings about an area. Check out the library, go into the post office, stop by the local grocery stores to get a feel for the people. These may be your neighbors someday. You can't go wrong in Windham, it's a very nice, safe town...
