These freezing rain storms seem to becoming more common. However, most precipitation in the winter falls as snow. Hopefully, we won't have any more ice storms this winter.
Here in Merrimack County it is not terrible, and only some occasional branches have fallen from trees. I think other areas had more ice accumulate on trees and lines than we did.

Driving around-we saw so many trees knocked down from ice. We were talking to a guy we know in Cumberland Farms when they had just got the power back on. He told us when he originally called PSNH, he was told it could be 3-6 days to get it back on. Thank God they were wrong.
I hope everyone gets their power on and stays safe and warm.

That is a good deal.
I briefly lost power this morning, but not for that long.

Luckly we didn't get all that ice,we did get a little thou. Our roads are clean so far. Don't mind the snow but sure can do without the ice.

Okay everyone stop with the excuses......... You know why you didn't have power......
Didn't you pay your utility bills?
All kidding aside - I'm happy to hear that things are starting to get back to normal and most importantly that you're all Okay.

Hope everyone is OK and keeping safe and warm.
I lived through the ice storm in the 90's. Stayed at the hospital (I'm a sonographer) for over 24 hours on emergency before trying to make my way home. What a mess-lots of sliding. It was even hard to walk without falling down-literally everything was covered in ice. I did get some great pics though .

Seems like southern NH & MA got the worst of this one, is that right?
We got about 4 inches or so of icy snow/rain/sleet outside of Lebanon.

I lost power last night around midnight and the power company said not to expect it back for several days. My 2 year old came down with the flu in the middle of the night and without power we don't have water either, so we left this a.m. to stay with family further north. Our yard was a mess with branches everywhere. I hope the pipes don't freeze. Good luck to everyone without power - hope you found warm, dry, safe places to sleep!
