Hi JFR - We're okay up here in Littleton right now, and we have power (radio just said power outages in Lisbon, which isn't far from us) - We didn't get the amount of snow predicted....at least not yet<g>. When I got up it was raining, now the temp is dropping, so I'm sure it's changing over to freezing rain or sleet. We're supposed to go back to snow again.

I hope everyone checks in when they have power!

P.S. Governor Lynch declared a State of Emergency around 9 a.m. http://www.wmur.com/weather/18262878/detail.html

Do you lose power/internet with the snow? I have a feeling a lot of people in NH, who post here regularly may have lost one or both.....listening to the radio, it's a mess out there....I should go check the TV station

This is like the storm 10 years ago. We lost power at home last night at 9. It came back on at 10 and then went out in the middle of the night. School canceled.

I noticed that there was no power in the area of exit 11 off Rt 3 in Merrimack. Stores dark and police manning the intersection as the traffic lights were out.

I heard on the radio that 250,000 people in NH are without power (1/4 of the state) and that channel 9 is not on the air....

It's was sleet, but I think it just recently turned to rain (it's 34 right now). The trees around our house are encased in ice and majorly drooping. I'm keeping a wary eye on them.
