The thing I found most annoying about the Christmas lights was that it made it harder to tell what neighborhoods had power and what ones didn't! This was most preblematic when we we got off of 95 in Wells, ME and were trying to decide how far we went down the road to see if The Maine Diner had power (all the way, and it did - yay!)

I'm glad to hear there is at least some progress in the "power wars."
Those generators have got to be golden at times like these.
I'm traveling for the next couple of weeks, but will continue to check in to see how everyone is doing. Thanks so much for keeping us "posted" on the situation from the storm.
My best to everyone and have a super holiday... or the best one possible!

Funny you said this, my neighbor, who got his power back before us, said he didn't turn his Christmas lights on til we got our power back. In solidarity.

Glad to hear it! My friend works for the power co. in VT.. "CVPS"and she told me yesterday that some of their employees went over to NH to help out! Power outages are so catastrophic. Same friend informed me we have another "ice" storm predicted for Christmas Eve. UGGHHH!

We're hearing about the new snowstorm in your area on the news down here... NC. Should be all over the news pretty soon with pictures. It's just a phenomenom in lots of places, but I know living with it is not easy.
Please keep us posted on how you are all doing!

We got a lot of snow from that system yesterday. I would say at least 7-9 fluffy inches.
A new winter storm warning has just been issued by the National Weather Service for Sunday into Monday morning. Expect over 8 inches of new snow.

We measured... 14-15" in our area and (if you believe in weather forcasts) another 10-16" coming tomorrow! I bet Sunapee and Ragged are *psyched* since they must have lost a lot of business being closed last weekend because of the ice.
