Great information. I will be using this for my clientele. Thank you for posting. I live in NH and think it is the best state myself. Do you know the name of the article, I can't seem to find it.

Last I checked my cars cost about 2k per year and most of that was for gasoline. I could buy 10 cars for that 47 grand.

It can't be a year. $13,216 would buy a lot of gas. If it is $3/gallon and you get 20 miles/gallon, that would cover 88,000 miles.... A car can't depreciate $18k in one year; maybe 5. Only a really bad driver would pay $6500 per year in insurance.... It tried the walletpop.com site but could not find the original article....

I have to check my expense logs but I think I spent under $3,500 on two cars last year and that included one $1,500 repair to the Subie.

Thanks. The study is for a new car for 5 years. 15,000 miles per year. The worst states are $10,000 more than NH
