lake or mountain wedding
My fiancee and myself are trying to find a location in the new england area either near mountains or a lake that have both beautiful scenery and have cabins for friends and family to stay at together. I love the idea of a two day event with big groups of people able to be in different cabins. If anyone has any suggestions or experiences please let me know. Thanks to all.

I think there are tons of places in NH that would fit your description. Squam Lake would be a particularly nice place for a wedding, although I'm not sure about particular venues.
Winnipesaukee, Newfound, and all the other big lakes are worth looking into as well, although personally I like Squam because of its secluded, "deep woods" feel. And all the little islands and inlets, with the hills surrounding it...
As I said, you have a lot of options... just remember to book early!

Wait another month and you could have your wedding on a lake. It has been cold enough.

a month? I know people ice fishing already. Winni and the larger ones are still open but lots of the small ones have 4 inch ice already. Plenty of ice to hold a small gathering of your closest friends and family. Just buy a white parka, him a black one, and you're all set.
